“Web Centric Design Process Model” ALM Process Model circa 2005
User Experience. There was a time when having the word “Experience” in your title seemed like some kind of a joke. And jokes there were, from Jimi Hendrix to questions about ones understanding of the word itself.
Fast forward 10 years and you can’t throw a stone with out hitting a User Experience Designer. Gone are the days when presenting an interactive design process seemed to many people full of unfamiliar rolls and tasks. Organizations like the AIGA have produced some great publications, such as loop formalizing the disciplines and process for anyone willing to learn. We’re certainly glad for the change but, like anything else, not with out cost.
As we learn to peer into the lives of our peers (and other targeted markets) expertise should have basis in experience.
